Watt's About
John Watt started singing when he was 15, but it was in 1976, following appearances in many BBC farming programmes, that he became known as "Ireland's Singing Farmer". John Watt was an instant success and although he received many offers to travel all over the world, his first love was for the Irish countryside, and to perform his self penned songs to hundreds of his followers in his beloved Ireland.
"Watt's About" is a video about the music and people from the north shores of Ireland. John chats with many characters from the north coast, including Will Miller of the Irish Rovers, journalist Speedy Moore, and performs his own songs, as he visits the beautiful townlands and coastal spots around N. Ireland. From Loughgiel, to the Giants Causeway, Ballymoney to the North West 200, and , the Foyle, to champion Joey Dunlop's pub. This 60 minute video is a wonderful documentary of chat, music and scenery from Ireland's famous north coast.
