History of Farming in Ireland  - Story told on DVD

Agriculture is the world most important industry,  and for 15,000 years man has been making a living from the ground.

In this DVD we look at the changing face of farming in Ireland from the cruel practise of horse ploughing by the tail,  to the one man operated Fletcher,  a crude man powered plough.  With the introduction of steam,  during the middle of the 1800's,  Irish farming moved into another gear,  and about the same time the American inventor McCormick was bringing onto the market tools which would change the face of farming forever.

Superbly narrated by Dr. John Kerr this DVD by John Thompson brings the old days of farming in Ireland right into your living room for your viewing pleasure.
